ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) provides a route for high achieving students, whose academic capabilities and potential would be well served by concentrating on research-based study leading to doctoral study.

WHAT THIS PROGRAMME COVERS

Students complete papers in advanced theoretical studies, relevant to their discipline and a research methods paper. An individually designed reading paper may be chosen. Students also undertake an individually supervised 60-point research dissertation.

Majors are available in:

* The Applied Language Studies major is offered through the School of Languages.

** The Social Sciences major is offered through the School of Social Sciences.

*** The Education major is offered through the School of Education.

 CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates will be well placed for employment in areas requiring sound analytical and critical thinking, and research skills at a more advanced level than a bachelors degree.
