On our doorstep - smallOn Our Doorstep: A voice for homeless youth - student film creates awareness

Students from AUT's Master of Human Rights class have screened their documentary to a full house, and have garnered media attention. The film sheds light on New Zealand’s homelessness crisis. The documentary features exclusive interviews with homeless youth and social workers on the front line.

Following the documentary there was a panel discussion including Alan Johnson from the Salvation Army, Angela Maynard from the Tenancy Protection Association and youth workers who spoke about their personal experiences.

Postgraduate courses in the School of Social Sciences and Public Policy help students to gain an advanced knowledge of their field of interest.

Graduates will further develop their research capabilities and expand their professional and academic knowledge.
