Biography:
After giving birth to her daughter in 2007, Nimbus decided to return to University to gain the qualifications she felt were necessary for a successful future.
Not expecting to spend more than three years in tertiary education, encouragement and support from AUT staff, coupled with Nimbus’ rediscovered thirst for knowledge ultimately led her to complete a conjoint degree in Arts (Psychology) and Business (Human Resources and Employment Relations) and go on to commence a BBus (Hons) majoring in Management.
Nimbus (Ngāti Awa, Tuhoe) joined the Social Sciences department in the role of Kaihapai in 2010, offering academic support to first-year Maori and Pasifika students. This year she has taken on the additional role of tutoring Introduction to Psychology A, a core paper for the Psychology major.
