The School of Applied Sciences has close links with two funded AUT research institutes:

	The Earth & Oceanic Sciences Research Institute (EOS) concentrates its research within the terrestrial and aquatic environments in and around New Zealand’s most densely populated city, Auckland. Enquiries to: Dr Steve O’Shea, EOS Director
	The Biotechnology Research Institute (Kode Biotechnology) Clients are encouraged to contact either Institute to discuss development opportunities of a commercial nature. In addition to these two Institutes, the School of Applied Science has two Biotechnology Research Units specialising in biofilm and molecular biology research.
