This pathway prepares you for entry into the New Zealand College of Chiropractic’s Bachelor of Chiropractic. Prospective students must apply to the New Zealand College of Chiropractic first and receive a letter of acceptance to secure their place. If you wish to enrol with the college, you are required to complete the AUT Diploma in Science.
Please note, completion of the diploma does not guarantee entry to the Bachelor of Chiropractic.

This pathway provides trainee anaesthetic technicians with the theoretical and general practical skills to become registered anaesthetic technicians. All people working as trainee anaesthetic technicians or nurses must be registered as trainees and employed in a New Zealand Anaesthetic Technicians’ Society recognised training facility.
In year one you study anaesthesia I (an introduction to anaesthesia technology), biophysics and anaesthetic technology I.
In the second year, you study human anatomy, physiology and a paper on special topics related to the role of the anaesthetic technician.
In the third year, you study anaesthesia II (anaesthetic equipment, monitoring and fluid administration), anaesthesia III, and anaesthetic technology II.
