Research Summary:

Annelies has research interests in several areas related to Language and Language teaching She has published in the area of Adult Refugee and Migrant Education in New Zealand, teaching English conversation skills, using corpora to inform language teaching and vague language markers used in informal spoken discourse.

Her current research interests include Immersion/Study Abroad programmes for teachers of languages,  and the teaching of Intercultural competence.
