Creative Writing
Are you sitting on a novel, perhaps a play or screenplay, a swag of short stories, poems, the lyrics to an album, or a graphic novel? The Creative Writing major offers you the opportunity to explore and develop your creative writing capabilities for the page, screen, and spaces in-between.
Your work will range from reflective portfolios to the composition of a sustained literary or multimedia work. Learning takes place in the classroom and alongside an appointed mentor who is a published author.
Structure and content
You will gain an understanding of the issues of style and genre, media, and the demands of readers, editors and publishers. The degree will prepare you for employment in the creative and professional writing industries.
You will develop your own capabilities as a writer, testing your creative ideas in an environment that challenges, critiques and supports you as you go.
