Bachelor of International Hospitality Management – Human Resources
Co-op Experience Proves Invaluable
A co-op placement with AUT’s Bachelor of International Hospitality Management can increase your chances of getting the job you want.
Graduate Amber McNair says her degree from AUT’s School of Hospitality and Tourism combined with her co-op placement definitely increased her employability.
“What I learned on co-op was invaluable and straight out of my degree I was employed with a large trans-Tasman corporate in their HR department”.
During her co-op placement Amber says she was able to match workplace experience with theory she’d learned from AUT and overall she gained an invaluable opportunity to network and begin to establish her own reputation within the hospitality industry.
“The lecturers at AUT were supportive and helpful and I really enjoyed what I studied - both Hospitality and Human Resources. The small classes are great and the mentoring during the co-op semester was very beneficial.
“I highly recommend the Bachelor of International Hospitality Management and also recommend students work as hard as they can so they are offered a quality coop project.”
