The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate in Health Science is designed if you are without a degree, but have considerable professional experience in health, sport or recreation and wish to obtain a qualification in your field. The graduate diploma and certificate are also suitable if you hold a degree in another discipline but do not meet the postgraduate study entry criteria.
The graduate diploma and the graduate certificate programme comprise of papers from relevant undergraduate degrees such as the Bachelor of Health Science or the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation. You will be guided in your choice of suitable papers.
Graduate Diploma in Health Science
Eight x 15-point approved undergraduate papers, of which at least five must be Level 7.
Graduate Certificate in Health Science
Four x 15-point approved undergraduate papers, of which at least three must be Level 7.
Graduate Certificate in Health Science with Māori Health Papers
Students who seek careers with a Māori development perspective should select Māori Health and Development, Māori Health Promotion, Applied Primary Māori Mental Health, and Utilising Supervision in Practice.
