Psychotherapy Postgraduate Study

Psychotherapy education is generally taught at a postgraduate level.
We also provide post-qualifying programmes to advance and enrich professional practice for experienced therapists’.

We offer the following postgraduate study options

Psychotherapy
The Master of Psychotherapy is for beginning psychotherapists or students who wish to become psychotherapists. In order to enter this subject area, students need to have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies or equivalent.

Advanced Psychotherapy Practice
The Psychotherapy Practice pathway within the Health programmes is open to qualified and experienced psychotherapists only. The programmes cover the specialisation of:

    * Advanced Psychotherapy Practice
    * Clinical Supervision
    * Group Psychotherapy
    * Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

There is also a pathway in Expressive Therapies, which students complete as an un-endorsed postgraduate diploma (i.e. with no major).

Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy*  
This programme covers the theories, techniques and knowledge that inform the therapeutic treatment of children, adolescents and families. It also aims to develop students' skills in research methodologies relevant to the field (* Subject to CUAP).

MindBody Healthcare
The MindBody pathway within the Health programmes caters for many health professionals, including doctors, nurses, counsellors, psychotherapists, body therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and dentists.
