ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

This programme provides a pathway for students to meet university entrance criteria for entry into a health sciences degree. It enables students to develop confidence, skills and the ability to succeed at degree level study.
Students experience an environment that meets their learning needs. This environment has small group tutorials and teaching methods designed to increase students’ confidence. Students develop skills in communication, problem solving, critical analysis and information literacy within the context of a health environment.
Students who gain a B average in the first semester of study may be eligible to apply for degree programmes. Students interested in the Dental Surgery Assisting pathway should refer to the Certificate in Health Care Support.
WHAT THIS PROGRAMME COVERS
Students develop academic literacy skills, communication skills, research skills, and get an introduction to Anatomy and Physiology, Sociology, Psychology, Health Promotion and Human Development.
