RESEARCH SKILLS HELP SECURE POSITION
Elaine Fyfe qualified as a nurse and midwife in England before there were degrees for those professions. But she did not see why she should have to do a bridging course before starting postgraduate study. And neither did AUT. Elaine completed an introductory research paper, enrolled in the Master of Health Science and graduated with honours. “Studying for my masters has been invaluable in giving me research and computer skills for my job as a researcher. My thanks go to AUT for recognition of my standing as an experienced midwife and for giving me the opportunity to develop.”
