Physiotherapy at AUT University

AUT runs one of the largest physiotherapy programmes in the Southern Hemisphere, and over the last 40 years we have established the department as one of the most innovative, dynamic and exciting places to study physiotherapy anywhere in the world.
With more than 500 undergraduate students studying across the four years of AUT's Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy), and more than 250 postgraduate students, we have built our reputation on the quality of teaching, research and student experience.

We have a strong team of more than 40 lecturers teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses within AUT's Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences, and many of our staff have international reputations for their teaching and research work.

Our four-year undergraduate physiotherapy degree prepares students for work throughout the health care system: in hospitals and clinics, in private practice, community and public health, rehabilitation, sport and exercise science, as well as in research and teaching.
