MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES
After spending three years on a yacht sailing to New Zealand from Canada, Michael Neufeld never imagined he would become a nurse. His career change was sparked from a desire to make a difference in people's lives. He enrolled in AUT's Nursing degree because of its reputation of being well balanced between theory and practical learning.
"Nurses help and educate communities, making it a rewarding and challenging career path. I think it's a phenomenal choice." He is now a staff nurse in the emergency department at the Starship Children's Hospital.
