Oral Health Undergraduate Courses

What are oral health practitioners?

Oral health is more than care of the mouth and healthy teeth, it is critical to good health and wellbeing for people of all ages. As an oral health graduate, you will qualify to register for practice in both dental hygiene and dental therapy. Dental therapists are able to independently prescribe and administer oral health care to patients up to 18 years of age. Dental hygienists provide periodontal care for all age groups, in consultation with a dentist.

We offer the following undergraduate course

Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health

Career opportunities

Graduates of the Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health will be skilled as both a dental hygienist and as a dental therapist, with the ability to work both in private or public health settings. You may choose to work in a clinical practice (eg orthodontic, schools or hospital clinics) or in the area of health promotion.
