"To be effective at treating people with mental illness you need to learn to work with a variety of people and situations – AUT's interdisciplinary learning approach prepared me for this. Whether its clinicians from other health disciplines or a patient’s extended family, being able to connect with all at any given moment is crucial. Having access to the most up to date research and skills during my study ensured I was well equipped for the complexities a career in mental illness presents and has inspired me to go on and complete a masters degree."
