Gael’s research interests focus on life-course approaches for reducing the risk of chronic conditions and on understanding factors that influence adherence with the management of prescribed health regimes. Her current project uses participatory research methods to collaborate with the South Asian community on effective and sustainable strategies for increasing vitamin B12 stores in women of childbearing age. The study will develop a model of how to work with community groups to maximize maternal nutrition and improve the health of subsequent offspring.
