Overview
Te Ara Hauora Māori (the Māori Health pathway) papers are available within the Health programme, under the Māori Health specialisation. This programme is offered by the faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences. Choose to study Māori Health at any of the following postgraduate levels:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Health Science in Māori Health (AK3484) 60 points
- Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science in Māori Health (AK3487) 120 points
- Master of Health Practice in Māori Health (AK3733) 180 points
- Master of Health Science (AK3485) 240 points

Research
Taupua Waiora, the Centre for Māori Health Research officially opened in February 2006 with the aim of improving Māori health and reducing inequalities of outcome between non-Māori and Māori. The Māori Health Research Centre's primary areas of research are Māori health promotion, Māori access to health services and Māori health workforce capacity building.
