Biostatistics Clinics

Purpose

The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology provides support for all quantitative research activities within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences.

Regular biostatistics clinics are held for one hour per week and are for the benefit of postgraduate students and academic researchers. The purpose is to provide you with an opportunity to talk to a biostatistician about your existing or planned research project. Statistical advice will focus particularly on the study design, data management and data analysis plans.

New postgraduate students planning their research projects are particularly welcome and are encouraged to attend with their supervisor.

Clinic times alternate weeks as follows:

Location

  • Clinics are held in meeting room AF209A or nearby staff offices, North Campus.
  • Biostatistical support is also available on the South Campus by prior arrangement.

How to book

Interested attendees are encouraged to book a time slot (usually one hour).

Please forward some background material in advance, i.e. a description of the research project, as found in the PGR or ethics forms.
