Staff from the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology collaborate with quantitative researchers within the faculty and provide advice, statistical support and supervision to postgraduate students. The department runs regular Biostatistics Clinics to provide an opportunity for any researcher or student who is seeking advice to speak to a Biostatistician about their research plans. Biostatisticians contribute to the entire lifespan of a research project, from formulating research questions and the study design, through data collection and data analysis.
To ensure excellence of collaborative biostatistics research in health, sport and environmental sectors.
The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology is part of the School of Public Health and Psychosocial Studies, within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences. Their offices are located on the AUT North Campus, on the second floor of AF building.
More information about individual biostatisticians can be found on the Biostatistics Staff page, including our areas of expertise and research interest.
The Student Hub provides information on all programmes at AUT, course counselling, campus tours, study planning and enrolment assistance.
