Workplace Experience
AUT's School of Engineering has long term associations with a number of companies.
At undergraduate level, Bachelor of Engineering students undertake a significant industry project in their final year.
The projects are offered by companies, and students apply to the company through an interview that replicates the experience you’ll encounter once you graduate.
At postgraduate level it is also the aim to have projects that are generated from practical applications and problems found in industry.
Industry supervisors have a significant input into final assessments, making the project as realistic as possible in its preparation for employment. For a number of students the industrial project leads to employment after graduation.
