Biography:

Tim studied Mechanical Engineering as an undergraduate, and postgraduate research student, at the University of New South Wales. On completing his studies, he was employed as the engineer managing research in the heat transfer and IC engines laboratory in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW before taking a PhD scholarship at the University of Waikato. He was subsequently awarded his PhD for a thesis entitled “Thermal Aspects of Building Integrated Photovoltaic/Thermal Solar Collectors” and took a position as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Deakin University. In 2011 he took up his position as a Senior Lecturer at AUT where he continues to develop his research on solar energy.
