AUT encourages early application. There are limited places available. Late applications will be accepted if the programme is not full. Applicants will normally be selected on the basis of their level of academic achievement and may be required to attend a selection interview.


Entry requirements

In order to be admitted to the Postgraduate Diploma in Science an applicant must have completed the following or equivalent:

(a) the Bachelor of Science or
(b) the Graduate Diploma in Science.

An applicant must have completed 1(a) or 1(b) above with a B grade average or higher in papers at level 7 in their selected area for this qualification.

Structure

You will acquire advanced knowledge and skills in some of the following areas: Applied Mathematics, Analytics, Applied Probability, Astronomy and Mathematics Education. Other postgraduate papers are available subject to timetabling and minimum numbers.

NB: Applicants transferring to the AUT Master of Science must meet a minimum B grade average prior to commencing the thesis paper MATH989.
