Bachelor of Education

Early Childhood Teaching

This specialty is designed for students who have a passion for working with young children and helping them to reach their potential.

Graduates of this programme will have the character, understanding and skills needed to be an effective early childhood teacher.

WHAT THIS PROGRAMME COVERS

Students will study human development and how children learn. They will also gain experience in a range of different teaching settings.

After re-evaluating her life's direction Lia Nokes decided to start her Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Teaching on her 40th birthday.

She had previously worked as a secretary and in interior design and decorating but says her life course changed after having her three children. 

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Graduates will be eligible to apply for provisionalteacher registration
  • Management of an early childhood centre
  • Teaching in an early childhood centre.
