Visiting/contract academic at University of Auckland, Monash University (Australia), Aga Khan Institute of Education (Pakistan) and Open University (UK) Have supervised many doctoral and masters candidates in a range of educational topics, and have externally marked theses from NZ, Australian, & UK universities.
Member of a number of professional associations concerned with education, in particular with research, mathematics education, and curriculum
Member of numerous AUT school and faculty committees
Convened and been on planning committees for numerous national and international conferences and working groups.
