The School of Education is actively involved in consultancy in a range of contexts.
Recent consultancy work has included
- working with tutors from Thailand for three months on competency-based training and assessment
- working with private training establishment managers on quality assurance in preparation for NZQA audit
- facilitating the professional development and appraisal of tutors in a private training establishment
- directing programmes on assessment and moderation for private training establishments
- facilitating the review of the mission statement and objectives for a secondary school board of trustees
- facilitating professional development programmes for early childhood educators on literacy development and quality improvement
- delivering a retraining programme for former secondary school teachers wishing to return to the classroom
- developing and facilitating an audit process for a Ministry of Education funded pilot of a quality standard for adult vocational literacy providers
