Undergraduate courses

Undergraduate courses give students a solid grounding in the study of education and teaching. Courses set students on the path to further education and research, or give an opportunity to move directly into the workforce as teachers at the early childhood, primary, secondary or tertiary level.

The Bachelor of Education (or the Graduate Diploma for those who already have a degree in another field) is a requirement for those wishing to teach in early childhood centres and schools in New Zealand.

Graduate courses

Graduate courses are available to those who have an existing undergraduate qualification and wish to gain the qualifications necessary to teach in New Zealand.

A Graduate course is also offered for those who are working in the career development field but who lack formal qualifications, as well as those who aspire to work in this field.
