Pre-degree study
Pre-degree programmes offer an introduction to the study of education and teaching. Programmes give students a starter to gain further education, or an opportunity to move directly into the workforce in the field of child care or children’s education.
The National Diploma in Teaching offers students the opportunity to progress through to the Bachelor of Education degree - only 6 months of further study is required following the Diploma course to attain a Bachelor of Education.
- National Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education, Pasifika)*
- Certificate in (Specialty) Education
- Certificate in Introduction to Early Childhood Education
* to be replaced by the Bachelor of Pasifika Education in 2013. Subject to approval.
