I now have a career I’m excited about.

Tony KleinTony Klein chose to study his Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching at AUT because of the pragmatic approach to study, local industry links, and the balance between the practical side and the intellectual side of secondary teaching.

Although nervous at first about going back to university and changing careers, Tony says the time has flown by. “The teaching placements I went on have taught me a lot and before the course was over I had been offered a teaching position at a very good local high school.”

“I now have a career I’m excited about, it balances well with my family commitments and I feel a real sense of accomplishment having made that leap of faith to re-train.”
