Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Business (BA/BBus)

A Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business conjoint programme of study enables students to gain skills and knowledge from two complementary discipline areas.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet the conjoint programme of study’s admission requirements and the admission requirements for each of the component degrees, and an  interview may be required:

From school:

  • University Entrance, and:
    • NCEA:  A minimum of 57 credits overall and/or 19 credits in each of the Level 3 approved subjects, OR
    • CIE:  180 points on UCAS tariff

From previous tertiary education study:

  • A minimum of a B grade average over the previous 120 points worth of papers, or equivalent.

Note: Entrance to university does not guarantee admission to a specific programme of study.

CONTINUED ENROLMENT IN THE CONJOINT PROGRAMME

In order to maintain enrolment, conjoint programme students must achieve a minimum of a B grade average (equivalent to a GPA of 5 on the most commonly-used 9-point grading scales) over the previous 120 points worth of study, or else they will revert back to one of the component degrees.
