

The Master of Science is a postgraduate programme focused on providing advanced concepts and techniques required to develop and enhance research skills. The qualification is aimed at candidates who are wanting to undertake cutting-edge research following a bachelor's degree. The two year Master's programme will give students a solid, advanced foundation for independent research involving the investigation of practical and theoretical problems in mathematical and related sciences.

Most papers last one semester. Students must complete 120 points each year (240 points for the entire qualification).

NB: Applicants transferring from the AUT Postgraduate Diploma in Science or Bachelor of Science (Honours) (or equivalent) must meet a minimum B grade average prior to commencing the thesis paper 719900.
