Biography:

Krassie has over 10 years of international experience as a manager and consultant in information systems development and information management, and over 15 years of university teaching and curriculum development  in information systems, programming, data communication networks, and information technology.

Teaching Areas:

Krassie teaches undergraduate courses (Networking)  and postgraduate courses (Net-Centric Computing, Information Security). She supervises postgraduate student research work in mobile applications and services (including mobile Internet deployment, mobile payment systems, mobile gaming, mobile learning, location aware applications).

  • Flexible and hybrid models for communication and information technology supported learning.

Research Summary:

Krassie has published and presented in New Zealand and internationally in the areas of eLearning, IS/IT and eBusiness education and curriculum development, IT/IS student skills and capabilities building, mobile applications and services  adoption, and mobile business models. She has conducted research and published on the adoption of eLearning and technology supported learning, mobile gaming, mobile learning, just in time learning, in ICT and information security curriculum development. She currently works on developing and validating a customer centric model of mobile applications and services adoption applying frameworks and constructs from adoption theories, service science, and design science.
