An offer of a fees scholarship to come to AUT University inspired Li Si Chan to move from Singapore to Auckland to learn about the fast-growing IT industry. “I was very happy when I got the offer and was eager to start my course in New Zealand... the AUT lecturers were helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. The small classroom size made it easier for me to approach lecturers for help, and of course, to make new friends.”
Li Si found the degree offered a foundation in most of the areas in software development, such as project management, software developing skills, software designing and architecture skills. “Having a lot of hands-on projects, where I got to work with a real client, were extremely useful. They had helped me to gain experience and knowledge that I would not have got through the books.”
