International Collaborative Programmes

The School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences (SCMS) has a number of collaborative programmes with prestigious Universities overseas.
The Bachelor of Computing and Information Sciences degree (BCIS) IT Service Science major papers are being delivered by SCMS staff at HCMUS in Vietnam.  Students may gain a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) degree from HCMUS and the BCIS degree, or just the BCIS (in IT Service Science).   Papers are delivered in a combination of online and on-campus delivery at ITEC (HCMUS’s International Training and Education Center).  Students also have the option of taking or completing this programme at AUT in New Zealand. Graduating students in either the BSCS and/or BCIS have preferred entry status (depending on grades) into a CIS Masters programme.

Commencing in September 2011 with the delivery of the CJLU content, SCMS began delivering IT Service Science and other BCIS papers at CJLU in 2012.  All delivery is classroom-based.  On graduation, students will receive a double degree: CJLU’s Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) and the BCIS.  Graduating students in either the BIT or BIT/BCIS have preferred entry status (depending on grades) into a CIS Masters programme.

BINUS students can transfer points from their BINUS Information Systems degree to the BCIS and gain a double degree.  Students transfer to AUT to complete the double degree programme, with an option of one Semester of online study which can be taken at home (depending on the BCIS major taken).

HaNU students can transfer points from HaNU’s Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS)  to the BCIS degree and complete the BCIS by studying at AUT for one to 1.5 years depending on the BCIS major.  Students will graduate with a double degree, the BCS /BCIS.

Temasek and Nanyang students can transfer points from Temasek/Nanyang Diplomas to the BCIS degree and complete the BCIS by studying at AUT for one to two years depending on the Diploma completed and the BCIS major taken.

Graduating students from all these programmes can enter a SCMS Post graduate programme.

A number of universities in China, USA, South America, Maldives, and Korea are currently in discussion with AUT to forge partnerships.  Bookmark this page to keep informed of continual developments.
