Research Summary:My research surrounds male partner violence in Aotearoa/New Zealand. My Master of Arts thesis critiqued the effectiveness of public education campaigns within this area. My doctoral work involves a feminist analysis of how young men understand male partner violence in society. At the core of this study is an exploration of young masculinities. My conceptual influences include a feminist appropriation of Bourdieuian technologies and critical masculinities studies.
