Digital Media

The Bachelor of Communication Studies and the Graduate Diploma in Digital Media offer students career opportunities across the ever increasing range of industries in which digital media play a vital role. Creativity and communication is the focus in a range of courses that allow students to focus on time-based media (moving image, video and audio production, 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics), or on interactive/web media (educational media production, for example), or to work across many of these areas to produce exciting new content for broadband, DVD, 3G new opportunities abound, and Digital Media graduates have the knowledge to lead the way.

  • Managing director (iSite Interactive)
  • Broadcast graphic artists (TVNZ, Touchdown)
  • Content manager (Vodafone 3G)
  • 3D animator (Touchdown)
  • News editor (TVNZ)

  • Web/interactive media designers (Shift, Lee Ter Wal, Phosphor)
  • Broadband specialist (TVNZ Digital)
