AUT’s Business Strategy League (more often referred to as “THE CASE CLUB” is a student club on campus.  The purpose of the club is to develop student’s business decision and case analysis skills.

Our Mission:
To provide our members with the tools and confidence to become the business consultants and business leaders of tomorrow

The benefits of joining the club are the opportunities to develop teamwork, analytical, presentation (power point), excel and strategy skills –
all of which help you to get better grades.

In addition - the club has a competitive focus.  In teams of four; students have the opportunity to compete in internal case competitions from which teams are chosen to represent AUT at three national competitions held throughout New Zealand and also at two International competitions that AUT supports – Queenstown and Singapore.

Participation in other competitions with student competency:

  • CPA Big Break : focus on Not for Profits, sustainability and social responsibility
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Challenge : focus on management accounting and ethics
  • CFA Institute Research Challenge : focus on finance
  • NZ Treasury Challenge : focus on economics
  • MARS Brand challenge : focus on marketing

The winners of these NZ wide competitions may go on to represent their University at an International venue – all expenses paid of course.

All competitions provide exposure to industry professionals and give students a huge advantage when applying for internships and job placements.
