Research Summary:
Combining her postgraduate studies in psychology and marketing, doctoral student Kate Jones is interested in what information sources influence children’s consumer behaviour, and, in particular, how these sources influence the development of brand attachment in children. Kate is currently investigating the processes of influence that children’s interactions with Facebook have upon their developing relationships with brands.
Current Research Projects:
Kate is now carrying out research for her PhD dissertation. Entitled “Brand-Made Children in New Zealand”, it examines the influence of multiple brand information sources upon children’s brand attachment.
