Biography:

Rona Taylor-Smith is a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Business Interdisciplinary Studies.  Prior to joining AUT she had several years of industry experience in sales and marketing in the textiles industry.  She has 20 years teaching experience at ATI/ AUT and during this period has held special responsibilities such as:

•     Programme Leader – New Zealand Diploma in Business
•     Academic Group Leader – managing and leading the Computing Business Applications Department in the Business Faculty

    AUT Business short courses – development and marketing of short courses and workbooks for industry/students
She has also held a number of paper leader roles and is involved in curriculum development and review.

•     Marketing – L4 & L5
•     Professional Practice – L4 & L5

Research areas:

Interested in the role country of origin and region in consumer decision-making.

Current Research Projects:

Currently researching and piloting alternative delivery and assessment tools using wikis, blogs and e-portfolios.
