Biography:

Marcus' research and teaching interests lie at the nexus of entrepreneurship and HRM.  He has taught undergraduate, postgraduate and executive courses in entrepreneurship and human resource management at the University of Auckland and AUT.  His current research involves looking at high technology entrepreneurs and technology transfer; HR systems in start-ups; scientific entrepreneurship; and entrepreneurial cognition.

Research Summary:

Marcus' research and teaching interests lie at the nexus of entrepreneurship and HRM.  He has taught undergraduate, postgraduate and executive courses in entrepreneurship and human resource management at the University of Auckland and AUT.  Marcus has a background as an organizational psychologist and HR consultant and has consulted for a variety of small to large businesses.  
Marcus’ research builds on his experiences and background as an organizational psychologist and HR consultant.  He has research streams examining the cognitions and decision making of entrepreneurs and managers in a variety of settings such as the public sector and high technology organizations.    

Current Research Projects:

His current research involves looking at high technology entrepreneurs and technology transfer; HR systems in start-ups; scientific entrepreneurship; and entrepreneurial cognition.
