8th Annual New Zealand Management Accounting Conference (NZMAC)

24-25 November 2014
Auckland, New Zealand

Submission deadline: 15th September 2014
Paper acceptance notification: 6th October 2014

We invite your participation, either as a presenter or non-presenting attendee, at the 8th Annual New Zealand Management Accounting Conference.

Seasoned academics, practitioners and PhD students are invited to share their latest research insights in Management Accounting in the heart of the City of Sails.

Paper submissions are welcome in the following broad topic areas but not restricted to:

  • Costing systems, cost allocation & contemporary cost management
  • Management accounting change
  • Performance management & strategy implementation
  • Management accounting & control
  • Managing risk and innovation
  • The potential of ‘big data’ for management accounting research and practice
  • Management accounting education
  • Behavioural accounting
  • Management accounting in the public or third sector
  • Ethics in management accounting
  • Business sustainability
  • Management accounting in emerging economies
  • Methodological frameworks & methods

 

Fully developed conference papers should be limited to 5000 – 8000 words using APA referencing.

We also welcome suggestions for panel discussions, round tables, and workshops, accompanied by a proposal that includes a detailed description of the topic and objectives, the featured participants, and the activity’s expected duration.

All conference papers to be submitted electronically in pdf or Word format to Lisa Nguyen at lnguyen@aut.ac.nz.

All submitted contributions will be double-blind reviewed and selected on the basis of quality and suitability.

Contributors will be notified of the review outcome by 6th October 2014.

Abstracts of accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Attendees will be eligible to receive NZICA CPD credit for their attendance.
