Note: The New Zealand Law Society and AUT place no restriction on the order in which the papers are to be taken or the number of papers taken in any year. However, the prescriptions for both Property Law and Practice and Business Law and Practice assume that the two introductory subjects have already been studied; so it is advisable to start the course with Introduction to the Legal System and Introduction to Law Office Practice. Course advice is available from the Programme Leader.
Exemptions
These may be granted to 415011 to those who have received a pass in a similar subject, and 415022 to those who have been employed for 10 years in law office work. Further details of the particular credits and exemptions allowed can be obtained from the programme leader or the Legal Executive Course Administrator, New Zealand Law Society.
