Applying classroom knowledge to real situations and challenges
Working in a real business as part of his Bachelor of Business cooperative education paper has given Noah Ghebremichael the chance to put theory into practice.
“Undertaking co-op project at Accelerating Aotearoa was a golden opportunity to team up and work closely with dynamic experts in various fields, ” explains Noah who did his cooperative education paper over the last three months of 2011.
Noah’s double major is in Business Information Systems and Management. His co-op project at Accelerating Aotearoa involved working on a web based programme, iTRAC, that links the work requirements of employers, communities and the job market, to training and skills development.
“It helped prepare to think critically about how management and technology could be better utilized to create opportunities, reflect on social benefits and responsibilities and analyze and understand the impact on New Zealand economy. I could never ask for a better co-op opportunity.”
