The Postgraduate Office offers ongoing support to postgraduate students. One-on-one counselling sessions are available to provide help with study planning and career progression. Our friendly staff also provide assistance and guidance throughout your studies. The Postgraduate Office is located on Level 8 of the Business School building (WF building).

BUSINESS SCHOOL POSTGRADUATE FACILITIES
A spacious postgraduate lounge, with city views, is located on level 7 of the Business School building, where most postgraduate classes are scheduled. AUT Business School’s postgraduate students have 24 hour, 7 day access to a dedicated postgraduate lab, connected by a walkway to level 7.
Lab facilities include computers, wireless laptop connection, networked printing, a telephone, lounge and kitchenette. PhD students can request a dedicated work station, with computer and filing cabinet. Additional study facilities, computer workstations and breakout rooms are provided for postgraduate students in the University Library.

SEMINARS
AUT Business School’s postgraduate students are invited to attend and participate in regular research seminars and research forums in the Business School. AUT University holds an annual Postgraduate Symposium for research students. The University Postgraduate Centre provides a series of centrally coordinated seminars each semester for postgraduate students. There are academic skills and computer-based seminars as well as social events.
NETWORKING
The Business School Postgraduate Office hosts several networking functions throughout the year for postgraduate students and staff.
BUSINESS POSTGRADUATE INDUCTION
Induction sessions are held for new business postgraduate students. The half-day induction introduces students to the members of the Business Postgraduate Office team, the structure of their programme and important information about studying at postgraduate level. New students are introduced to the use of the computer network, AUTOnline and Library resources. Other sessions include an introduction to research skills and searching online databases. It is most important that new students book for and attend one of the scheduled induction sessions at the start of each semester.
