

RESEARCH
The accounting team within the Business School comprises 16 research-active academics in their distinctive areas of interest. Students are encouraged to undertake research work in topics of interest to them and seek the advice of staff. Past achievements include the granting of external funds for research projects, authorship of books and professional articles and publications in top international journals.
Future plans include research into: Pacific Island businesses, for which the department is fortunate to have the support of the Pacific Business Trust; the health sector; accounting education; audit; environment reporting; and intellectual capital reporting. The Accounting Research Group convenes regular seminars.

ACADEMIC STAFF RESEARCH INTERESTS
The Business School has a large number of professorial staff, including leading scholars who are recognised internationally and nationally. Our academic staff are enthusiastic researchers and teachers with backgrounds in academia and professional practice and our courses have an emphasis on ‘real’ research that is relevant to the business community.
