These programmes provide an entry point for students who do not wish to enrol in a full MBA programme or who need added flexibility during their study. Students are encouraged to continue into the MBA programme after completing these qualifications.
ENTRY CRITERIA
Applicants are required to have either:

A minimum of three years relevant professional work experience since gaining their degrees or other qualifications.
Applicants who do not have a tertiary qualification are expected to provide evidence of relevant professional experience deemed, by the Examination Board, to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree. This would typically be 10 years work experience of which 3-4 is in a supervisory or management capacity. Candidates may also be required to complete an aptitude test and/or attend an interview.
Applicants for whom English is a second language must have an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
Applicants who have completed their tertiary study or work experience overseas may be required to obtain a satisfactory result in the GMAT.
DURATION
The Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration is a 60-point qualification usually completed within six months of full time study or eight to 16 months of part time study. Each paper involves six weeks of class learning, with one three-hour class per week followed by an examination week. Students may commence at any one of six entry points in the year.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration is a 120-point qualification usually completed within 12 months of full time study or 16 to 24 months of part time study. Each paper involves six weeks of class learning, with one three-hour class per week followed by an examination week. Students may commence at any one of six entry points in the year.
PROGRESSION TO THE MBA
Students may progress to the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration by completing a further 60 points of papers.
Students may progress to the full Master of Business Administration (MBA) by completing a further 60 points of papers.
STRUCTURE
To graduate with a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration students must successfully complete 60 points of MBA papers.
To graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration students must successfully complete 120 points of MBA papers.
