International Programmes

AUT Executive Education can design programmes specifically for international organisations and government departments. These programmes can be delivered onsite in Auckland at the AUT Business School or in the sponsoring organisation’s home country.

Here are some of the international programmes that AUT Executive Education and the Business School have designed and delivered:

Nanjing Municipal Government, China

In preparation for China joining the World Trade Organisation, the Nanjing Municipal Government contracted the Business School to design and deliver a management development programme for senior government officials and business people from Nanjing. The programme focused on understanding the global business environment by analysing global business trends and mastering modern western management practices. This programme was based in New Zealand and delivered in four iterations which ranged in duration from two month programmes to quarterly programmes.

Ministry of Labour and Welfare, Thailand

The Asian Development Bank and the Thailand Government jointly funded the Business School to design and deliver a programme for senior Thai staff from the Ministry of Labour and Welfare. The programme covered the design, implementation and evaluation of government labour market programmes for unemployed and low skilled employees in the workforce. Key areas included analysing skill demand, evaluating the effectiveness of local programme delivery and effectively project managing these programmes. This programme was delivered to a number of cohorts and included various delivery timeframes from one month programmes to one year programmes.

University of Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), Bangkok Thailand

The Business School delivered a specialist management development programme for Executive MBA students from the University of Thai Chamber of Commerce. Business people and senior executives attended seminars and workshops arranged by the Business School, including a number of visits to New Zealand-based Asian companies and public and private sector organisations, particularly those companies engaged in trade with Asia.
