

Latest News: AUT scoops silver in SIFE NationalsSIFE AUT scooped second place in the New Zealand National Competition this month. The competition, which saw teams battling it out to secure a place in the SIFE World Cup in Kuala Lumper in October, was held on 16 July at the KPMG's offices in Auckland.
Securing the winning title and a place in this year’s final was SIFE Waikato, closely followed by SIFE AUT, and SIFE Massey in third place.
SIFE AUT president Rachel Cleary says she is delighted with the result and is inspired by the amazing things that all the New Zealand SIFE teams achieved this year. “I am very proud of our team and believe that they did a wonderful job in representing SIFE AUT.”
Cleary is also quick to congratulate the winning team for their title and their place in the World Cup.“On behalf of SIFE AUT, we are really happy for the Waikato team, and are now looking forward to next year’s competition.”

SIFE graduate wins Global Ambassador competition
SIFE graduate Michael Teoh has won the prestigious British competition "Your Big Year" and is now a Global Ambassador. Organised by Smaller Earth, a company offering the chance to act as global volunteers the competition accepted 45,000 applications, from 168 countries.
“I was working against highly successful business men and women from around the world. I ended up project managing most of the projects based on the experience I gained from working in SIFE at AUT University. It was projects I had already been taught how to handle”.

About SIFE
SIFE AUT students gain skills through consulting with business clients, writing business plans and implementing projects. Students may work on advertising campaigns, web design projects or develop strategic plans. SIFE allows students to give back to the community by helping others, while also getting real business experience within a supportive group environment and applying theory learned throughout their degree in real-world situations.
SIFE AUT has had continued success at the National SIFE Competition, coming either runner up or the winning team since entering in 2002. During 2008, SIFE won the National Competition where they represented New Zealand at the SIFE International World Cup Competition in Singapore read more. In 2010, SIFE AUT won again (four years running) and will represent New Zealand at the SIFE International World Cup Competition held in Los Angeles.
