Certificate in Art and Design Intermediate

This programme is a one year full time programme providing a pathway to AUT undergraduate qualification in Art and Design. You will experience a range of art and design processes related to digital, spatial, product, graphic and fashion design as well as visual arts and creative technologies. At the end of the year, you will be better prepared to make decisions about your future studies and will have a well-developed portfolio of artwork.

Entry requirements

  • NCEA: 48 Level 2 credits including 8 Level 1 credits in language rich subjects
    OR
    CIE: Total 60 points at UCAS
  • Portfolio of art work
  • Interview may be required

Structure

You will develop skills working with a range of art and design materials and processes, and learn how to do research that helps support their own ideas and work. In your chosen area of design or art, you will develop a portfolio of work to support you when moving on to further study.
