Short Courses

The Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies offers various short courses and workshops in art, fashion, textiles, design and technology. Whether you are looking to upskill or learn something fun and useful for your own personal use, our courses will aid you in your creative pursuits.

Textile and Design Lab

The Textile and Design Lab’s programme of short courses has been designed to up skill participants in the areas of computer aided textile design (CAD), knitwear and knitted products, digital textile printing and general textile knowledge.  The courses are presented by both AUT academic staff members and guest lecturers who specialise in various subject areas.

The courses are open to anyone wishing to participate and learn about the subjects on offer.  Some courses require entry criteria that can be found on the individual course descriptors.  The courses are non credit bearing and participants are not required to sit exams or tests.  Participants will be entitled to a Certificate of Attendance on completion of the course.

Whether you are actively involved with textiles or a related industry and wish to increase your level of knowledge, or simply want to put your hidden talents to good use, you will find these courses both stimulating and beneficial.
